Sullivans Island is a quiet residential beach area with a great sense of community.  The beach itself is not as crowded with tourists as that of the Isle of Palms beach.  Famous for the Station 22 Lighthouse and other such landmarks as Dunleavy's Pub and Poe's Tavern.  There are other great restaurants on Sullivans Island such as Sully's and Sullivans.  Both serve outstanding fresh local seafood and are favorite hangout spots for residents of Sullivans Island.

Sullivans Island is accessible either via the Ben Sawyer draw bridge located on Ben Sawyer Blvd. in Mt. Pleasant or, by the Isle of Palms Connector that connects Mt. Pleasant at Hwy 17 and Isle of Palms at Palm Blvd.  The Ben Sawyer draw bridge opens every half hour to allow boat traffic to navigate the Intracoastal Waterway.
